According to a study by the Wave Foundation with the support of Oxfam IBIS and Street Child UK, conducted in 2022 across 88 villages in Khulna and Rajshahi that focused on 1,533 children aged 5-16. In this age range, 16.78 percent of boys and 15.22 percent of girls could not read English. Furthermore, 84.85 percent of boys and 82.86 percent of girls have difficulty comprehending English texts.

It was also discovered that 10.28 percent of boys and 8.71 percent of girls were unable to read Bangla, while 14.19 percent of boys and 13.06 percent of girls were unable to recognize single digits in mathematics. The findings show a predictable yet disheartening decline in education quality. Aligned with unwavering standards, Amal prioritizes the belief that every child deserves access to quality education.
