Skill Development And Distribution Of Production Input
KJF Foundation has established five vocational centers (Cox’s Bazar, Mymensingh, Narayanganj, Rangpur, Jashore) for women to become self-sufficient. Due to unfair discrimination, women have little opportunity to be involved in the workforce. KJF FOUNDATION believes if they are provided with a small amount of money and equipment these women can take the initiative to run their own small businesses and eventually can support their families. We have set up a tailoring and garment-making training program for needy women in Bangladesh. Our vocational program provides poor women with the necessary skills and distributes sewing machines. The vocational program of KJF FOUNDATION also creates employment opportunities for women by manufacturing school uniforms for students of KJF learning centers. About 500 ultra-poor needy women are provided with skill development training and start-up production input like a sewing machine.
